No More GF Cake?

I just went today for the special at Starbucks - Buy a drink get a pastry FREE. I was looking forward to the GF Valencia Orange Cake. They said they didn't have any and sent what they had back to the company but didn't say why. Now I know. I never even got a chance to try it. :(

Celiac disease cases quadruple in U.S.

Experts warn gluten intolerance becoming substantial public health concern

Here is a scary report from MSNBC on Friday, July 10, 2009

"In the United States, celiac disease is four times more common now than it was in the 1950s, according to a study by researchers at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

The Mayo Clinic study also found that people who didn't know they had celiac disease were nearly four times more likely than people without celiac disease to have died during the 45 years of follow-up."
